My bedroom was clean and tidy, the staff is very friendly and the breakfast was great.
Hotel Prins Hendrik is set in lush, green surroundings, right behind the dike that protects Texel from the sea. It has an on-site bicycle rental service and classic accommodations.

Everything from breakfast till dinner. Also the location was perfect to travel from there with the car to other places and we were next to the shore.

Dinner at the restaurant was expansive but overall good.

It’s the perfect place if you go skydiving or need to be around the airfield as it is “in the airfield”.

The room was very nice. It was clean and modern with airconditioning and a TV with lots of smart features including chromecast. The location is great right in the middle of Den Burg and close to the bus stop.
The breakfast was wonderful with lots of variation and options. Delicious yoghurt with granola and fresh fruit, pastries and fresh cuts of cheese and meat products. I really like how it was brought to each table separately.

Exceptional guest service .. would definitely comeback on our next visit to the island

Of the four larger villages on Texel, Oudeschild is the quieter one and it has the additional benefit of the quite busy harbour where you can take seal watching or crab fishing tours, or simply enjoy the views of the large and small sail ships passing through.
The maritime Kaap Skil museum is definitely worth a longer visit. The highlight is a very large interactive exhibition in the basement (that took more than 4 years to build) with detailed info about the role of the island in the golden age, the great Dutch ships and life on the island back in that day, including a massive VR installation and ship models of incredible detail.
Outside the main building you walk through a 17th/18th century village with original workshops and living quarters, including a large windmill that is still operational today (you can buy locally milled flour there).

A quiet little town which might not be the prettiest on the island but we really liked the honesty of the working port and the great fish shops. There is a great outdoor swimming pool which was a 15 min bike ride away in Den Hoog which became our first stop every day as we explored the whole island by bikes hired locally. A great healthy and relaxing holiday even though the weather wasn’t brilliant.
Comfy place, nice and quiet. The B&B itself is a quiet as the part of town it's in.
Oudeschild is a lovely little harbour town. Good restaurants ('t Pakhuus is amazing). Counted four different providers of seal spotting boat tours.
We rented bikes at the ferry port and cycled to Oudeschild and then cycled around the island from there.
Great location. Really enjoyed our stay.
Was more than perfect!
Very cosy room,a lot of facilities, the room and bathroom was spotless and Mrs.Bettina welcome us friendly with an warm attitude,we felt meeting her like we've met a friend!
I just wait to go there back and to stay more time
PS Amsterdam's hotels management should visit this place and to take lessons about hospitality!
Fantastic appartment in a beautiful spot on the edge of the world. The attention to detail was almost equivalent to staying in a proper 5 star hotel. If you ever stayed in an Oberoi, you’d know what Im talking about.
